Birmingham, United Kingdom • 3 months agoI have had non stop issues with Home Telecom. There customer service/support have been non-existent and no communication either. And they are ignoring me for compensation about the days I had no internet.
I have just moved to Vodafone city fibre which costs £30, so slightly cheaper than Home Telecom. If you went to Home Telecom from another network you are out of contract so you can leave at any time you want without charge. I strongly recommend Vodafone, internet speeds are super fast, and I can get through to customer support in minutes, rather than hours with Home Telecom

Down since Saturday and the 'quick' maintenance window...

Gloucester, United Kingdom • 5 months agoPhoned at 9am when they opened, and they were unaware of an issue, which shows they did no testing after the update. They told me an update email would be sent out but got nothing so far. I signed up for gigabit networks and then I was moved across to home telecom without a choice so for all customers in same situation it is possible to get out of a contract as the new provider is not providing the level of service you signed up for. The citizens advice bureau will be able to help with this.

Thankfully my work didn’t involve using the internet I only wanted to play Xbox but I had to use the hotspot on my phone which is honestly out of order considering they probably won’t compensate people and go about things as normal like this is just a normal and acceptable service to be paying £50 a month for, absolute scumbags; I’m sorry but they would of known first thing yesterday that the servers were down, they had ample time to get technicians in to sort it, meanwhile we have to suffer so they can sit around playing soggy biscuit

Most things are via wifi so we can't use most things we'd like to use online right now. It was fine before 6am and seems to have stopped working between 6 and 8 am. Can't get help as there is no customer support on Sundays.
